What is covered, what is not, and how to make a claim.

What the warranty covers
Every rack supplied by SG Racking is guaranteed against defects in materials and manufacture for 12 months from the date of delivery. During that period we will repair or replace, at our choice and free of charge, any component that fails because of a manufacturing fault, including:
- uprights, beams or shelf panels that crack, split or deform while loaded within the stated rating;
- welds on frames that break under normal use;
- beam connectors that fail to lock into the upright;
- powder coating that peels or flakes without any impact, abrasion or chemical cause.
What it does not cover
- Loads above the rating — 400kg per level for the warehouse rack, 200kg per level for the boltless rack — or concentrated point loads.
- Impact damage from forklifts, pallet jacks, trolleys or falling goods.
- Racks altered, drilled, welded, cut or combined with parts not supplied by us.
- Corrosion caused by outdoor use, standing water, chemicals, salt or harsh cleaning agents, or by scratches left unrepaired.
- Racks moved and re-installed by anyone other than our crew, if the fault is caused by the re-installation.
- Normal wear, scuffs and cosmetic marks that do not affect strength.
How to make a claim
- Unload the affected bay and stop using it.
- Send photos of the fault, a photo of the whole bay and your order reference to hello@sgracking.com, or WhatsApp them to us.
- We assess the claim within three working days and, if it is covered, arrange the repair or replacement part at no cost.

How long is the warranty on SG Racking racks?
12 months from the date of delivery, on both the warehouse rack and the boltless rack.
Does the warranty cover racks in a cold room?
Yes, for chillers where the racks are used as we advised. Damage from ice build-up, forced defrosting or chemical cleaners is not a manufacturing defect. See cold room racking for care tips.
What if a shelf bends?
A shelf that deforms while loaded within its rating is covered. A shelf bent by overloading, a point load or impact from a pallet jack is not — which is why we explain ratings in load capacity explained.
Do I need my invoice to claim?
Your order reference or invoice number is enough; we keep a record of every delivery.
Is the warranty transferable if we sell the racks?
The warranty applies to the original purchaser at the original installation address.
