Where it is used

From 3PL warehouses to the office store room

The warehouse rack is our workhorse. Logistics companies line their walls with it for carton picking; F&B groups use it in central kitchens for sacks of rice and flour; tech firms keep spare servers and cabling on it; schools stack art supplies and sports equipment.

It suits anywhere goods are loaded by hand and the weight per shelf runs into the hundreds of kilos. For layouts built around picking and dispatch, see warehouse & logistics racking. If your loads are lighter — files, packaging, retail stock — the 200kg boltless rack costs less and fits narrower rooms.

  • Cartons, totes and loose stock up to 400kg per level
  • Long wall runs and back-to-back island runs
  • Industrial units, warehouses, central kitchens and stores

Questions

Warehouse rack questions

How much weight can a warehouse rack hold?

Each shelf level is rated to 400kg, evenly spread across its full length. A four-shelf bay therefore carries up to 1,600kg in total, provided the load sits on the shelves and the bay stands on a level floor. Point loads — one heavy motor in the middle of a span — should be on the lowest level. Our guide to rack load capacity explains the maths.

What is the difference between a warehouse rack and a pallet rack?

A pallet rack is loaded by forklift, with beams sized for one-tonne pallets and uprights bolted to the floor. A warehouse rack like ours is a hand-loaded, medium-duty longspan shelf: you place cartons, totes and loose stock on steel shelf panels. Most SME warehouses, back-of-house stores and offices need the second. We compare the systems in industrial rack types explained.

How wide should the aisles be between warehouse racks?

For hand picking with trolleys, plan at least 90–100cm between facing racks; 120cm is more comfortable where two people pass or a pallet jack turns. Fire-exit routes need to stay clear and unobstructed. Send us the floor plan through the free quote form and we will mark the aisles for you.

Can I add more shelves or bays to my rack later?

Yes. Extra shelf levels and single vertical frames are sold separately, so a run grows sideways by adding one frame and a set of shelves at a time. Prices are in the table above, and you can order them through the Order Now form.

Do you deliver and install warehouse racks to industrial buildings?

Yes — our crew installs at warehouses, industrial estates, malls and offices across Singapore. Delivery and installation are quoted per site because loading bays, goods lifts and access hours differ. The delivery policy lists what we need to know.
